The changes in me

What's Happening...
I did it! one thing off the bucket list...

The journey continues

My second book of poetry

About Me

My photo
Deo Volente
I am a woman, a mother, a wife, a sister, a daughter, an aunt and not in that order. I use my poems to help me sort out my feelings good and bad. I am devoted to my children, they are with out a doubt my life. I believe in true friendship and family, and I am as stubborn as an Ox. I love fiercely and refuse to hate no matter what. With me what you see is what you get. I have had many challenges through the years and I pray that they have made me a better person. For to make a mistake is human, but to learn from a mistake is exceptional. I hope you enjoy this look into who I am.

What poetry can do

Have you ever noticed how someone elses words can play on your feelings and your thoughts as though they were reading a page from your heart. Life can take so many different paths, some expected and others seem to appear from nowhere. Poetry is my coping mechanism, I write to vent and read it to let go. Poetry seems to be the one forum where I can hide and still be in full view, see what I mean! It is a play on words that can speak to you and nothing compares to the feeling you get when you have read a poem that touches your mind and your soul.

In my opinion

Politicians should be required to live like the people who elect them. ie: If you cut out the special treatment, then you will get rid of the greedy. If they paid the same for healthcare as the regular people do, then they would make it affordable. If they lived in a normal house and were paid a normal salary, then they would understand what it means to make the dollar stretch. If they cared at all about the people who elected them, they would not spend millions on campaigning, or sell their morals to the highest bidder. If their children went to the same schools as ours, then we would never have under funded schools or over crowded classrooms. We put them there so it is our job to make sure they do theirs.
