Easter

I have never liked saying, happy Easter. Of all the ways I celebrate Christ, Easter is the one that brings me more pain than joy. Don't get me wrong, I am beyond grateful that he chose to die for me and even more so that he rose from the dead. But I grieve that he endured so much pain. To be betrayed, abandoned, ridiculed, tortured and nailed to a cross bleeding to death not because of something he did but because of me, breaks me. I know that I should count it as a blessing beyond blessings to be loved that much and I do but it does not take away the anguish in my heart. So instead of saying happy Easter, let me say this, remember, he died so everyone of us could live.

Thank you Jesus for loving me so much that you would willingly endure the unimaginable for my sake. I am not at all worthy, but I am eternally grateful.
