In blistering wind as cold as snow,
I found the courage to get up and go.
To thrust myself into the light,
and that is when I learned to fight.
For every shattered piece of me,
reflections of the years I see.
The pain, regrets and anguished cry,
every reason just to die.
In shivers of the great recall,
I found the will to face them all.
Removing every shard inside,
no longer willing just to hide.
I faced the faces of the past,
and took back all my love at last.
Without a blink of eye,
I bid them all goodbye.
Then suddenly, the clouds stood out,
and in my desperate final shout.
I rushed into the rain,
that reservoir of my pain,
and found my heart, again.
