Try harder!

Have you ever tried to do something and felt, as they say in Jamaica " wishie washie" ? For those of you who just said "what!" I will explain. It means to approach something; be it a task, an opinion and so on, in a less than clear, concise or definitive manner. Today that fits me well, I have much to do and find myself muddling through it all. Slow and steady doesn't always win the race; sometimes it just causes you to become wishie washie.  Have a wonderful Friday world.

Same old wall,
dull as paint.
Get out devil,
welcome saint.
Bible open,
chapter read.
Words of virtue,
in my head.
Lots to tackle,
all today.
Much to do,
on my way.
Oh so tired,
lost my spunk.
Man!
today I'm in a funk.
Still "no problem"
as they say.
Father bless me...
come what may.

Beauty by definition

I have often thought that true beauty has little if anything to do with outward appearance. To me true beauty is so much more than skin, it is deep within. A marvel much like the glow of stars; far away yet so vibrant you not only see it but you are in awe of it.

Thinking and reflection

Hi there,
It's been a while since last we were
here,
toiling away in thought and jest
giving the world by words our best
and worst,
defined only by mood,
vivacious or crude.
I've missed the verses etched in blog,
the bits and pieces of that log.
Of days that come by chance
and every telling glance.
I'll tell you this,
I walked away
from prose for muse came with delay,
inspiration left me there,
without a note of want or care.
Yet all along throughout this year,
changes and challenges shook and took,
of them I could write a book.
If only words did not fail,
I'd have chapters penned of this tale
but such is life,
and the moments we live.
The heart we surrender,
the love that we give.
The seconds the wall clock must take,
the reality that jolts us awake.
I return now in the still of my evening,
willing and able, always believing...
that where there is life, hope will dwell,
and these are the stories I'll tell.
